Farpoint Kennel was started in 1991 with the purchase of our first show quality English Mastiff, Ch A Shobiz Hannah of Gaia.  Hannah taught us a great deal about mastiffs during her life, and she still represents what we want to see in our dogs.  She had a solid stable temperament and great drive, and she gave us 12 lovely puppies.  Three went on to earn their AKC championships with very limited showing.
 
Our kennel strives to produce sound mastiffs that meet the AKC English Mastiff standard.  We rarely breed and only when we feel it will result in healthy and typey pups.  We have been very fortunate to acquire some lovely dogs to found our line and have had success in the show ring with them and their offspring. Health testing and genetic research is critical to the overall health of the breed, and we actively support these endeavors.

Over the years we have participated at the MCOA national specialties, and regional specialties both as competitors as well as committee members. Kirk prefers to remain behind the scenes, but his support has provided the bedrock that has made our kennel possible.  Diana has enjoyed handling her own dogs in conformation and in rally competitions.  She has handled multiple home-bred Mastiffs to their Bred-By championships, and her dogs have been eligible for the Eukanuba Dog Shows on several occasions.  She is actively pursuing her judging credentials for mastiffs, and she stewards at some of the local shows.
